On Tuesday we had our Class Celebration for the end of our 2nd track of school. We had a wonderful time! Thanks to many parents coming to help us we made magic reindeer food to put outside on Christmas Eve, we made gingerbread ornaments with our pictures on them, we had a special snack of cupcakes, Doritos, and juice box drinks, and we decorated a cookie to take home. Mrs. Parker says that we sure know how to celebrate!!: ) We are tracked out of school for the next 4 weeks. You can check back here in January to see messages Mrs. Parker leaves for us. We'll have more for you to see of our class when we return! Happy Holidays and enjoy your time out of school for now.

Chinese New Year

 Today we began our "Winter Holidays Around the World" unit. We talked about China and the Chinese New Year. This is the Year of the Dragon. We made dragons and had a parade in our class before we left. Look at our cool dragons!

Thanksgiving Rotation

 

We have been working hard to earn class compliments from other teachers, staff, and parents in our school. We earned a special Thanksgiving Rotation for earning 20 class compliments. We got to make "healthy turkeys", do fun activities on the Smartboard, and have a taste test with pumpkin pie, apple pie, and chocolate chip cookies. Then we made a graph of our favorite.........the cookies won!!: ) We loved having parents come and help us and want to give them a big "Thank You!"

 

 

Thanksgiving with Friends

We invited our Pre-K friends to our class for a Thanksgiving activity with turkeys. Some of our 4th grade friends came to help us. We love having them! We had a terrific time and loved our turkeys!: )

Cooperative Math Activity

 Working in Cooperative Groups can be lots of fun and we learn a lot from each other! Math is one of our favorite times to learn together. Mrs. Parker says we do a fantastic job in our groups and she is so proud of us!: )
